MSUMUN Delegates

Both university and high school students, regardless of the city or country of residence,  can participate in Moscow State University Model United Nations.

Over the years MSUMUN has been attended by students from leading universities of Russia, as well as from countries of near and far abroad. Russian cities are represented by delegates from Saratov, Volgograd, Arkhangelsk, Kazan, Belgorod, Izhevsk, Tomsk, Omsk, Tyumen, Barnaul, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok and many others. MSUMUN has had delegates from Urkaine, Belarus, Czech Republic, Hungary, Germany, Poland, Estonia, Germany, Italy, France, Belgium, the US, China, South Korea, Nigeria, Ghana, Morocco. And the list is growing!

MSUMUN delegates act as official representatives of the UN member-states and  discuss global issues put on the agenda of a chosen committee. As a rule, a delegate cannot represent his or her country of origin or residence. During sessions, delegates respect the assigned country's standpoint and are required to avoid expressing their own opinion.

Adopting a resolution is the ultimate goal of a committee. It is only possible when national interests are balanced with the needs of international community. Therefore, delegates will have to compromise in order to reach a decision which would promote peace and stability and foster economic growth to pursue prosperity of the nations.
